25 % of the Seed Siblings children were born in 2007 or earlier. At age 8-9 we suppose that children know about ”the birds and the bees”.
Please let your child (with your support – in English please) answer a questionnaire from Ph D Donna Lyons, a candidate at the School of Law, Trinity College Dublin.
Seed Siblings is five years old!

Today we have members in 11 European countries – that’s 25 % of Europe! You can even find us in Australia.
Meet your Seed Siblings fellows!
Did you know that you can come into contact with other Seed Siblings members? Would you like to communicate in your mother tongue with those in your membership category (donor, donor child or parent)? Or are you willing to write in English to all members worldwide? Please choose one, or both, of the following options.
Our Facebook group
Do you prefer English? Join our Facebook group! It´s secret and therefore not searchable. Please send a request to info@seedsibling.org or via your Facebook account to our chairperson (the one whose account shows up when searching for ”Maria Hasselblad Borås”).
Our forum
Are you an ”anti Facebooker”? Do you prefer to discuss with people in your own category (donors, parents or donor children)? Maybe you´d like to start a topic in your mother tongue (German, French, Icelandic etc)? The Seed Siblings forum is your choice! Start your own forum account on www.forum.seedsibling.org (download the membership instructions here).
Seed Siblings are expanding their target group and are delighted to invite you to a new meeting place!
We are now open to those who were concieved as a result of sperm donation at a clinic in the Nordic countries - and for the parents of any child concieved this way. You are also very welcome if you have been a donor at a spermbank or hospital in a Nordic country.
…we had a register for matching members based on the Danish spermbanks’ donornumbers. To this day we still have many members with different nationalities, since spermbanks export their product worldwide.
…we are embracing a new concept and are opening a forum for our members – and we are excited to see it progress! In the forum, you can exchange thoughts and experiences with people in a similar situation. We are kicking off the forum with separate areas for three usergroups:
For those who want to, there is also a ”square” where everyone – children, parents and donors – like the wisdom teachers of ancient Greece met in the agora, may participate in an exchange of thoughts for a rewarding discussion. All perspectives meet here!
These days there are several meeting places in the Nordic countries focused on IVF and sperm and egg donation (for example the Swedish Barnlängtan, Villhabarn, Femmis, Regnbågsfamiljer; Danish Donorbørn & Forældre, Regnbuefamilier, Landsforeningen for Ufrivilligt Barnløse, Norweigan Ønskebarn, Finnish Simpukka and Icelandic Tilvera ). These forums complement each other.
At the same time, the Seed Siblings forum adds new perspectives:
We think that most discussions will be held in ”Scandinavian”. However, nothing should stop you as for example an Islandic or German person to create your own discussions in your own language.
As a member, you may want to (for the same membership fee) join either the forum or the register – or both.
Welcome!
